About This Tour
From Vietnam's misty mountain retreat down to its buzzing southern metropolis — coffee farms, jungle highlands and rubber plantations, then the dramatic arrival into Ho Chi Minh City.
Route & Itinerary
Dalat — departure into the highlands
We leave Dalat and head south through the highlands past waterfalls, coffee farms and jungle-clad hills — a day about immersing in the landscape before the urban world arrives. Overnight in a foothill guesthouse.
Through the foothills
The terrain flattens as we descend, passing small market towns, rubber plantations and rural communities that see almost no foreign visitors. Plenty of roadside stops. Overnight in the foothills.
Into the southern lowlands
The final highland roads give way to flat southern plains — easy, fast riding with local sights and a relaxed river lunch. Overnight near the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City.
Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City
We ride into Saigon — energy, traffic and noise all at once — and drop you at your hotel in the city centre.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need motorcycle experience?
No. Most travellers ride as a passenger behind an experienced local guide — no licence or experience needed. If you'd rather self-drive, you'll need to be a confident rider (see below).
Do I need a motorcycle licence?
Only for self-drive. To legally ride yourself in Vietnam you should hold a valid motorcycle licence with the appropriate international permit. As a passenger, no licence is required.
Can I bring my luggage?
Yes. On multi-day tours your main luggage is carried for you; you ride with a small day bag. Let your guide know if you have a large bag.
What happens if it rains?
Tours run in light rain with provided rain gear, and your guide adjusts the route for safety. In case of severe weather your guide will adapt the plan with you.
What insurance is included?
Every tour includes motorbike insurance. This does not replace personal travel or medical insurance, which we strongly recommend you arrange before your trip.
What happens if I cancel?
Your 20% deposit secures your booking request. If the local operator cannot accept your booking, the deposit is refunded in full within 72 hours. See our cancellation policy for full details.
How do I pay the remaining 80% in cash?
The balance is paid to your guide in Vietnamese dong when you meet at the start of the tour. Dalat has plenty of ATMs, but most cap each withdrawal at a few million dong — less than the balance on a multi-day tour — so allow for more than one withdrawal, or bring currency to exchange. Your guide can point you to the nearest machine or exchange if you need one.
